Strengthening Canada’s food sovereignty is a critical step toward ensuring long-term food system sustainability and ensuring food security for all Canadians. The Small Scale Food Processor Association is engaging and supporting investors interested in driving change in Canada’s food system through our new program, Venture-Capital Ready.

SVX and Movement51 investment organizations are working with Venture-Capital Ready and interested investors to help women entrepreneurs/founders Get Ready.

SVX is a nonprofit, diversified financial services firm driving impact for investors, organizations, funds, and enterprises. We provide knowledge and insights, design strategies and products, manage funds, and operate a platform for raising impact capital and making impact investments.

We work across sectors that deliver meaningful impact: climate, food, health, equity, housing, and community real estate.

Founded in 2020, M51 is a non-profit educational platform created to eliminate gender disparity in financial knowledge.

Since our inception, M51 has addressed financial inequalities through innovative educational programs like the Financial Feminism Investing Lab, accessible community events, strategic partnerships with academic institutions like the University of Calgary, and like-minded non-profits, like the Canadian Women’s Foundation.

Impact 360 Gender and Diversity Lens Investing (video series): Gender Lens Investing (GLI) is an approach to investing that takes into consideration gender-based factors across the investment process to advance gender equality and better inform investment decisions.

This free, self-paced course is designed for Canadian accredited investors who are eager to begin or advance their understanding of GLI principles. Learn what gender lens investing is, how you can embed GLI into your investment process, how to measure GLI impact, and more.

This report addresses the barriers affecting access to capital for indigenous entrepreneurs, and informs investors on the impact of investing in indigenous-led organizations.

In 2021, TMX Group Ltd. made history at the company’s annual shareholder meeting when a vote was passed to support a resolution on Indigenous inclusion and reconciliation. Estimated to have profound effects on Canadian companies and the Indigenous economy, this was the first time a proposal on reconciliation has ever been jointly endorsed by the board of directors of a Canadian company.
